I've noticed a couple of cookery programs recently using dry ice to make dishes, such as to make special pastry. I think this is going to ridiculous lengths too. If you don't know what dry ice is, it is frozen carbon dioxide which can cool something down really fast without introducing any water.

I can't imagine most of us going to the lengths of Heston Blumenthal - or having the time or money either!
